(CNN) – A 4.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Californian county of Ventura, according to the United States Geological Survey.
It was centered about 6.5 km north of Malibu, the USGS said.
The tremor was felt in downtown Los Angeles, according to journalists from CNN’s office in that city.
