(CNN Spanish) – Security guards from the Santo Domingo Metro detained YouTuber Luisito Comunica, the Dominican Republic Transportation Reorganization Office reported this Wednesday.
According to the agency that regulates the transportation network in the Dominican capital, the incident between the Mexican influencer and the Metro security agents was due to Luisito making recordings within the Metro facilities without the necessary permits.
“Upon noticing their presence and the activity they were carrying out, they were approached by the personnel of the Specialized Metro Security Corps (CESMET) to verify the situation. After the corresponding verifications, they were allowed to continue with their work, although Luisito Comunica decided not to continue with the recordings at that time,” the transportation office explained in a statement.
According to article 34, OPRET added, it is prohibited to record or take images in Metro facilities “for non-personal purposes, unless written authorization.”
For his part, Luisito Comunica confirmed the fact in a publication on his social networks, in which he shared a photograph from a Dominican channel where his “arrest” was reported.
