Ten years ago, Flappy Bird disappeared from all stores. Cell phones that still had the game installed were sold for unpleasant amounts of money. Nobody expected that the little game of daddy would make a comeback at some point.

Flappy Bird is coming back in 2025! Will you play it?

After Doodlejump came Flappy Bird. A mobile game that shaped my school days and whose disappearance caused a lot of excitement has now reappeared.

Flappy Bird was released in 2013 and became the most downloaded game in the App Store in 2014. Creator Dong Nguyen made a lot of money from it and yet he decided to discontinue the title in February 2014 because he felt he was addicting people to the game. He didn’t want that.

He is also not the one who is re-releasing the title. A team of fans called the Flappy Bird Foundation bought the official rights.

The new Flappy Bird is set to release next year for Android and iOS and will feature new characters and game modes. These include a mode in which you have to fly through basketball hoops, a simple beginner’s mode and a competitive mode for up to 100 players.

Michael Roberts, Chief Creative at Flappy Bird Foundations, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing Flappy Bird back to life and giving players a new experience that will keep them entertained for years to come. We have big plans for our little bird. ”

“Today is a milestone, not only for the game, but also for me personally. It’s so cool to see how influential Piou Piou has been to developers and hundreds of millions of players over the years,” adds Piou Piou- Developer Kek, who is also part of the Flappy Bird Foundation.

“It’s incredible to work with such a dedicated team of fans and developers who are truly committed to changing the history of the industry and working together to bring the original Flappy Bird back to life.”
