Being on a big stage is not entirely new for Jakob Blasel. The 24-year-old is considered one of the best-known German faces of the climate movement “Fridays for Future”. He has already demonstrated side by side with Greta Thunberg and in 2019 handed Chancellor Angela Merkel a letter with tough demands from the climate organization. In the letter, “Fridays for Future” demanded clearly from Merkel: “The young generation wants to see a strong climate policy.”
