The judge Fátima Veloz, from the Permanent Attention Office of the National District, decided this Saturday to grant freedom pure and simple Marisol Mercedes Francoformer partner of drug trafficker César Emilio Peralta, alias “Caesar the Abuser“, as well as three others involved in the case.
He lawyer Joaquín Benezario stated that there was “a confusion“regarding the assets that Franco supposedly moved from one of the properties confiscated by the Public Ministry.
“We present evidence that our client did not transfer those assets in a suspicious or fraudulent manner and none of those involved acted with criminal intent,” said Benezario.
However, the jurist specified that the Public Ministry will continue the investigation in it processeven though the judge He stated “there is no place” on the accusation.
In the request for a coercive measure, the prosecuting body specified that the son of the drug trafficker, César Emilio Peralta, alias “Bombón”, who is a fugitive.
The prosecution indicated that these individuals would have appropriated furniture of high value that are in the name of the Dominican State, after having been confiscated in the case against Caesar the Abuser.
It is remembered that in 2022 Marisol Francowho was accused of washing of assetsreceived a suspended five-year prison sentence after reaching an agreement with the prosecution that was approved by the court.
