Campaigns of Democratic candidates for prosecutors and even congressmen will receive funds from the Harris-Walz ticket to promote voting in their favor

In the midst of a national tour, the campaign of presidential candidate Kamala Harris and vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz will allocate $24.5 million to other Democratic candidates.

This represents the largest transfer from a presidential campaign to other groups promoting votes for Democratic Party candidates, according to a campaign official.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) will each receive $10 million, while the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) will obtain $2.5 million.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC), the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA), and the Democratic Governors Association (DGA) will each receive a transfer of $1 million.

The official stated that the strategy is to demonstrate the Harris-Walz team’s commitment to “states across the country, in addition to the federal level.”

“The Harris-Walz Team will also support fundraising efforts for the DCCC and DSCC through email fundraising, and for the DGA, the Harris for President campaign has authorized a direct mail campaign from Governor Walz,” it was previewed.

Investment efforts align with the actions of the DNC, which last July invested $15 million in key state parties, following a $2 million investment in 11 non-presidential races.

“In total, the DNC is investing 25% more in state parties in 2024 than in 2020, including the Red State Fund, which creates programs in traditionally Republican states,” the source added. “So far in the 2023-24 cycle, the DNC has already invested over $4.5 million in the Red State Fund alone.”

Upon revealing these investments, Harris-Walz campaign chair Jen O’Malley Dillon emphasized the importance of “mobilizing the entire country.”

“The Vice President believes this race is about mobilizing the entire nation, in races at all levels, to fight for our freedoms and economic opportunity,” O’Malley said. “That’s why the Vice President has made the historic decision to invest in the election of Democrats in every race on the ballot—because Democrats win when we fight together.”

For DNC Chair Jaime Harrison, these investments will help inform voters through state-level electoral organization.

“The Democratic National Committee is proud to deliver nearly $25 million in funds to our sister committees for the November elections, from boosting organizational power at the local level to strengthening voter protection campaigns,” he said. “We must win at every level of government, in every election, to safeguard our freedoms and continue our economic progress, whether in red, blue, or purple America.”
