The vice president Kamala Harris raised $47 million in the 24 hours after his debate against former President Trump, his campaign announced Thursday.

This is Harris’ second-biggest fundraising in 24 hours.since raising $81 million after replacing President Biden as the Democrats’ presidential nominee in July, according to The New York Times, which first reported the news.

The fundraiser, which includes donations from 600,000 people, is another boost for Harris, who is practically tied with Trump in most key statesaccording to several national surveys.

This fundraising occurred after his campaign raised $361 million in August, compared to $130 million raised by Trump that month.

“While our fundraising program continues to demonstrate historic strength, we cannot take this momentum for granted,” said Harris campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon.in a statement to the media.

“We cannot underestimate the strength of the Trump team and its robust fundraising and organizing efforts intentionally designed to divide and sow doubt among Americans. “We cannot let up until we defeat Trump once and for all this November,” O’Malley said.

Presidential debates often become a gold mine for campaign fundraising because of their audience: 67 million people watched Tuesday’s debate livenot including probably millions of others who watched it on a variety of websites and streaming platforms.

AND Harris was widely seen as the leader of the debatethe avalanche of donations is proof of Democratic enthusiasm.
