InterNations, a social network for expats, conducted a survey to identify the best destinations to move. The research was based on three key factors: the cost of living, satisfaction with the financial situation and the sufficiency of family income to lead a comfortable life. This survey included the participation of expats from 53 countrieswho provided their evaluations on these aspects.
In the studio, Vietnam has positioned itself as the most affordable country to live in, remaining in first place in the Personal Finance Index for four consecutive years. 86% of expats in Vietnam rate the cost of living favorably, which is significantly higher than the world average. Additionally, half of expats consider the cost of living in Vietnam to be “very good,” compared to 12% of the global average. The job satisfaction has also seen notable growth, with Vietnam rising from 24th place in 2023 to third place in 2024. Although less than half of expats work full time, they enjoy a favorable balance between work and personal life.
