Former First Lady Melania Trump posted a video questioning the investigation into the attempted assassination of her husband, former President Trump.

On the day of the most important presidential debate for Donald Trump, former First Lady Melania Trump released a video about the assassination attempt against her husband, where she questions the “silence” in the investigation and why the shooter was not stopped in time.

“The attempt to end my husband’s life was a horrible and distressing experience,” Melania Trump begins her message, which she posted on her X account (formerly Twitter) at 8:02 a.m. this Tuesday.

She then questions the “silence” surrounding the investigation and why the agents in charge of security at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, did not stop the shooter “in time.”

“Now, the silence surrounding [the attack] is overwhelming,” she says. “I can’t help but wonder why law enforcement didn’t arrest the shooter before the speech.”

For the former First Lady, there are aspects of the attack that need to be brought to light.

“There is definitely more to this story, and we must uncover the truth,” she says in her brief message about the events of July 13th.

It is notable that Melania Trump questions the investigation and does not mention the progress made by the FBI, such as the release of photographs of evidence, including the weapon and other targets of the shooter.

On July 13, the FBI reported that it is still investigating the shooting as a “possible act of domestic terrorism.”

“Anyone with information that could assist with the investigation is encouraged to submit photos or videos online at fbi.gov/butler or call 1-800-CALL-FBI,” reads another message from the agency.

The shooter, Thomas Crooks, was shot and killed by the Secret Service, which is also part of the investigation. The agency’s director, Kimberly Cheatle, had to resign following a U.S. Congressional hearing.

The rifle recovered at the scene of the attack was a DPMS – Panther Arms, model: A-15, caliber: 5.56×45 mm/.223 Remington Semiautomatic, which also had precision shooting accessories, according to the FBI.
