A trauma never told, not even to her parents: a sexual assault in Chiara’s past which, however, was never reported. The newspaper la Repubblica reported the episode, which constitutes a new element being examined by the investigators of the Parma prosecutor’s office. There are no official confirmations, the investigation continues in maximum confidentiality, but reporting it to those investigating would have been people from the town close to the twenty-one year old accused of premeditated murder and concealment of a corpse for the bodies of the 2 newborns found in the garden of the family home.
The abuse apparently occurred after an evening with friends, 2 months before she became pregnant with her boyfriend, about 2 years ago. All to be verified with extreme care, these are facts that if confirmed would have considerable weight in the investigation and would help explain what was going on in the girl’s mind. No confirmation not even from Chiara’s lawyer. She didn’t say anything either 2 days ago, in front of the judge, during the interrogation. The girl has been under house arrest for 8 days but by Monday, when the terms expire, the prosecutor’s office could decide to request her custody in prison. The images from the video surveillance cameras of the pharmacies in Traversetolo and surrounding areas are being collected and analyzed to understand whether the girl has ever purchased medicines to induce childbirth. Investigators for now remain convinced that she acted alone.
