Ubisoft is working on a patch for Star Wars Outlaws that will mitigate “unfair” stealth sections.

This is what game director Julian Gerighty said in an interview GamesRadar confirmed.

Today he thinks differently

Originally, corresponding sections were designed this way to build up “tension”. You didn’t want them to “feel unfair.”

“But today I think they feel unfair,” he says. “This is more of something that has come up in the last week or so and that we are already correcting with a patch that may be released in ten days.”

“You’re probably thinking about one of the first missions in Mirogana, which is incredibly punishing,” he adds. “To me this is a mistake and something we want to improve.”

“I don’t think we completely remove the possibility of failure, but there are so many ways to make it more entertaining and understandable.”

They are also looking for other “blockers” that prevent players from enjoying the game. Here and there more narrative context will be provided to better explain what is happening. Ultimately, “people should enjoy these moments as much as possible.”
