After Ubisoft switched off the servers for the racing game The Crew, making it unplayable and removing it from the players’ library, there was a hail of criticism.

Criticism that we’ve obviously learned from, because things are supposed to be different with The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest.

Future-proof racing games

It took several months, but as the publisher now announces in a post on X, both The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest will receive offline modes.

“We have heard your concerns about access to The Crew games,” the company writes.

“Today we want to express our commitment to the future of The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest.”

As a result, it is said that they are “working on an offline mode to enable long-term access to both titles”.

There are currently no concrete schedules for this, at least not publicly. Further details will follow “in the coming months”.
