Introducing Franco Barbi
The new villain, Franco Barbi, is the highlight of this update. Franco is a deranged mobster from New Orleans, armed with a sawed-off shotgun. He represents the first gun-wielding adversary in the Outlast series. Players will encounter him on a new map called “The Docks,” where he manufactures drugs and terrorizes his victims. Franco’s character is driven by greed, violence, and insecurities, making him a formidable and unsettling opponent.
New Content and Features
Project Lupara brings several new elements to The Outlast Trials:
- New Map – The Docks: Players will navigate through this new environment, solving puzzles and avoiding Franco’s deadly tantrums.
- New Game Mode – Escalation Therapy: This rogue-lite mode challenges players to survive a series of randomized trials until they face permadeath. Success depends on collecting upgrades and surviving as long as possible.
- New Player Ability – The Barricade: This ability allows players to block paths and gain precious time to complete objectives.
- New Trials and MK-Challenges: The update includes several new trials, such as “Poison the Medicine” and “Mansion Escape,” each offering unique challenges and storylines.
