The hospital explained that the footballer “is under sedation and connected to invasive mechanical ventilation.”
“There has been a slight improvement in oxygenation levels in the last few hours. He has not had repeated arrhythmias and is supported by vasoactive drugs to improve cardiac function and optimize his blood pressure. He will remain under sedation and mechanical ventilation in the following hours, until the respiratory and cardiovascular situation is stabilized,” the statement concludes.
On September 11, Montevideo Wanderers reported that Lezcano suffered an arrhythmia while at home, while adding that from a cardiovascular point of view he was stable and at a neurological level he had responded favorably.
